Can you voice more than one character in a script?
Yes. The demos on this page are all me. List each character with a short description and each one gets its own voice.
Animation, games and characters
The short answer
Anthony Pica is an American male voice actor who records character voices for animation, video games and kids’ content from his own studio in Gloucester, Virginia. His demos run from a pirate captain to a dragon-egg villain, a dark wizard and a creepy Halloween host. He spent 21 years in theatre before voice-over. The full demo: cartoon, game, sci-fi and creature voices, one after another.
A big, salty pirate who’d like you to know he can talk like one.
Shiver me timbers, I can talk like a pirate better than any lily-livered, jelly-legged sea-goer that ever once was!
There is a story of an ancient beast that lives deep in the depths of Davy Jones’ locker. Only those who are brave enough to seek out this beast will ever get the fortune of the merfolk. Are you strong enough to seek out this beast? If you are, you’ve come to the right place, matey!
A creepy, cackling host for a Halloween special.
Ah! Look who is listening to this show! Come in! Don’t be scared! Welcome to this Halloween special episode!
A dark storyteller voice that dares the player in.
Many years ago, there was a man who looked and acted like every other. But what he did was different. He searched the dark arts. He wanted power. He wanted to be king. However, the dark arts have a way of corrupting people. And he was corrupted. Make no mistake. Corrupted through the core.
Are you that man? Will you stand for what is right? Or will you fall to the evil winds? Come, step up, and try your hand at the game.
A loud, gleeful villain guarding his dragon eggs. Ends in a scream.
Who dares enter my chambers to steal my precious dragon eggs? Well, feeble wizard, me and my jub-jub bird will be back to destroy each and every one of you. Good luck on unlocking all my spells around those eggs.
Where the characters come from
Before voice-over I spent 21 years in theatre, as a stage actor, teacher, director and acting coach. Characters are where that shows most. I want to know who this person is, what they want in the scene and how big the world around them is, and then I build the voice from there.
Send me a line or two about each character: age, attitude, a reference if you have one. If you’re not sure yet, I’ll give you a few versions and you pick.
